What is a “true Christian”? Ask ten different Christian’s and you’ll get ten different answers. Ask a liberal Christian and he’ll say “I’m a true Christian” ask a fundamentalist/evangelical Christian and he’ll say “No your not! I am” the liberal Christian would then say “No your not! I am” bring in a third Christian and he would say “Nether of you are, I am” and then the Liberal and fundamentalist/evangelical Christians would both say “No your not! I am. No your not! Quit copying me!” Bring in a rational Christian and he would say “Stop, stop, guys. Where all true Christian’s” and the other three would say “No there not and no your not! Pussy!”
The truth is there is no such thing as a “true” Christian. All Christan’s are Christian’s.
The whole “true Christian” argument is is nothing but the arguer saying that he is a Christan and those who disagree with his particular version of Christianity are wrong and are not Christian’s, to be a Christian you have to believe what he believes. No, just cause some one disagree with your particuler version of a religion does not mean that he is not of that religion too. A Christian is some one who follows any one of the many versions of the Christian religion. Pulling this no true scotsman fallacy will not make those Christian’s who disagree with you any less Christian and you any more Christian.
